Sebrell Smith Designer Events is a full service event design and consulting firm based in Savannah, Georgia. Executing flawless destination weddings and social events throughout the Southeast is our specialty. Sebrell and her team offer a boutique approach to wedding design and event planning. After decades of experience, we are adept at meeting all sorts of needs, requirements, expectations, and protocols.

Hidden in a tiny nondescript cottage in Sandfly, Georgia, Sebrell Smith Designer Events bustles with activity. This is where the magic happens… where dreams are uncovered and fantasies are fulfilled. By appointment or by chance, we love having guests visit our studio to pour through paper samples, linen swatches and design boards… but visits for cake tastings are the best! Whether an intimate garden affair or grand black tie gala, each Sebrell Smith Designer Event is executed with great care, reinforcing our boutique approach at every turn.

Recognized on the nationally celebrated website, The Daily Meal, as one of the “50 People You Should Know When Throwing a Party”, Sebrell Smith, has also been named the “Best Event Planner” by Savannah Magazine for five years. Beginning her career by designing and planning events for the world renowned Savannah College of Art and Design, Sebrell was responsible for bringing SCAD’s signature events to life. After almost a decade with  the college, she left SCAD and founded Sebrell Smith Designer Events. Sebrell has continued to express her reputation for spirited southern grace by planning and executing events of all kinds, from local soirees to the international wedding of the Prime Minister of Belize.

Sara Jackson

A lover of stories and experience, Sara felt the magnetic pull toward the event industry during her senior year in Architecture at SCAD. With a background in hospitality, Sara envisioned her two passions coming together in the event industry and upon graduating went on to work as an event planner at one of the most popular venues in Savannah. With a few years of event coordination and freelance design under her belt, Sara is a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades”, bringing an eclectic mix of management and creative talent to the Sebrell Smith team. When she’s not making dream events come true or filling your social media with eye candy, you’ll bump into her perusing local shops, hiking, or running around Forsyth Park.

Megan Mahoney

After graduating from Valdosta State University with a BFA in Theater, Megan knew she wanted to be involved in the event planning industry.  She loved the organization and excitement of executing an event from start to finish.  Born and raised in Savannah, Megan knew the friendly face of Sebrell Smith from work she had done on Megan’s sister’s wedding.  Starting in the event industry as in intern with Sebrell, Megan went on to work her way up the corporate ladder in Savannah’s hospitality industry.  Eight years later, Megan and Sebrell have joined forces again, combining Megan’s event knowledge and organizational skills combined with Sebrell’s inspired event design.  If Megan is not at work, you can still find her in the local dance studio or tapping her way through Savannah’s downtown shopping district.

Like Sebrell, Cuffy is also a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design.  Cuffy has worked for over 30 years in the non-profit sector, and joins Sebrell Smith Designer Events with a strong background in organizing and operations.  Her job is to keep the office running while SSDE’s creative staff is out in the field making your event the best it can be!

Jacquelyne Walsh

A social butterfly from New Jersey, she found herself in Savannah to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at SCAD.  Following graduation, Jackie plunged into the world of home decor as a designer and seamstress. Moving not only from coast to coast but from North to South, Jackie planted roots where her heart lies and her passion developed—Savannah, GA. Some might call Jackie an aspiring “gypsy” always seeking inspiration through travel, culture, color, and texture.  Forever on a quest for her next hands on a creative project, Jackie is a huge DIY enthusiast taking enormous pride in visualizing Instagram and or Pinterest worthy events.  From her memories of setting a table for a backyard tea party in her early years, to freelancing with some of the biggest event designers in the industry, Jackie has a natural eye, talent, and enthusiastic knack for all types of picture perfect soirees and gatherings.
