Savannah, with its historic charm and magnificent scenery, is one of the most romantic and beautiful settings for a destination wedding. In addition to its old Southern charm, you will find that Savannah is experiencing an emerging cultural renaissance.
For brides looking for an upscale and eclectic metropolitan feel, The Brice offers 7,500 sq ft. of meeting and event space and can accommodate up to 125 guests for any given event. With 145 guest rooms, including 26 lavish suites, five different event venues, and two distinct outdoor garden spaces at your disposal it’s easy to create a magical setting to meet, host, or say “I do”!
Sebrell Smith Designer Events recently held an out-of-office retreat at The Brice. While we have always been somewhat familiar with the hotel (delivering bouquets and the like), it was a true pleasure to experience all that The Brice has to offer as a guest! So many details and creature comforts… from the hot pink lining of the dresser drawers to the seersucker bathrobes hanging in your closet, the Brice has it all!
Located in the heart of Savannah’s historic district, guests of The Brice will enjoy strolls around City Market, sightseeing on River Street, and experiencing the rich history and culture of one of Georgia’s first cities. While in town, you may also want to visit one of Savannah’s historic house museums, the Telfair Academy for the Arts or the SCAD Museum of Art… there is just so much to do!
During our retreat we had the pleasure of working out of the Juliette Suite – a living room/dining room combination that also connects to a deluxe king room and has a private patio overlooking the pool area. We were delighted to be able to open both sets of French doors overlooking the pool and enjoy the fresh air as we worked. This suite is perfect for larger wedding parties looking for a place to entertain, or get dressed for the big day.
Our entire team assembled in the Juliette Suite for an afternoon staff meeting to learn about upcoming projects, and then enjoyed a thorough tour of The Brice given by Brittany Tufts, Sales and Catering Coordinator and Kristen Haddick, Director of Catering. We were delighted to have so much of their time and it was fun strategizing about the different event spaces and how well they work alone or combined to help create the perfect party flow.
Finally, our team ended our tour at Pacci, their on-property signature restaurant, where everyone enjoyed custom-crafted cocktails, tantalizing appetizers and the time to relax and enjoy one another’s company.
